How can relationship categories be added to the survey? Can I create my own custom relationship categories?

Relationship categories can be set in the platform from the existing (default) set, or appended, edited or customized to the needs of your feedback survey.


To add a category, go to the group for which the feedback is conducted, and go to the "Manage" page of the survey as shown below, and expand the settings menu.



Click on "Manage Relationship Categories" in the settings menu to get the modal window as shown below.



You can add a relationship category here as per your requirements. To add a new relationship category, click on "Add Relationship Category", type in the new category as per your requirement and then click on "Save".



The "Self" category cannot be modified in a 360 Feedback Survey.


Typically used categories

Organizations tend to use 360 Feedback Surveys for the following categories: -

  • Self
  • Junior or direct reports
  • Senior or supervisor
  • Peers
  • External, such as clients or partners

Some of these such as Junior, Senior and Peer will be mentioned by default on creating a new 360 Feedback Survey.
